OSSTET Result: The Board of Secondary Education of Odisha authorizes the test, which is held every year for the position of teacher. The full form of TET is the Teacher Eligibility Test. Every year a vast number of candidates appear for the post. It is a crucial eligibility test for secondary teacher recruitment in Odisha’s government and government-aided institutions. The exam makes it easier to hire instructors in the fields of education and physical education. It is divided into two categories: category 1 is for instructors of education, and category 2 is for teachers of physical education. Candidates will have to apply for the exam by registering on the official website of BSEO.

Eligibility criteria for OSSTET

The eligibility criteria that have to be fulfilled are that the candidates must be Indian citizens and be able to read and write in the Odia language and hold the relevant educational qualification. The following qualifications are necessary for appearing in the exam.

Category 1: Education teacher

Subject:

  •  TGT (Science – PCM/ CBZ)- Bachelor’s degree in Science from a recognized institution with honors/optional/Elective/Pass in any two of the courses (PCM) or (CBZ) as honors/optional/Elective/Pass with a minimum of 50% marks and Bachelor’s in Education (B.Ed) from an NCTE-accredited institute. or a four-year integrated degree in B.Sc.B.Ed. in PCM in CBZ with honors/optional/Elective/Pass with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized institute.
  • TGT (Science – PCM/ CBZ)- Bachelor’s degree in Science from a recognized institution with honors/optional/Elective/Pass in any two of the courses (PCM) or (CBZ) as honors/optional/Elective/Pass with a minimum of 50% marks and Bachelor’s in Education (B.Ed) from an NCTE-accredited institute. or a four-year integrated degree in B.Sc.B.Ed. in PCM in CBZ with honors/optional/Elective/Pass with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized institute.
  • Candidates for the position of Hindi Teacher must have a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% in Rastrabhasa Ratna from Rastrabhasa Prachar Samiti, Wardha, and Shastri Hindi from Odisha. Puri, Snataka, Rastrabhasa Parishad, Odisha, Cuttack, Hindi Shiksha Samiti
  • Classical Teacher – Urdu – B.A. in Persian with a minimum of 50% marks and B.Ed. from a recognized institute/university Alternatively, Alim has a total score of 50%.
  • Classical Teacher – Urdu – B.A. in Persian with a minimum of 50% marks and B.Ed. from a recognized institute/university Alternatively, Alim has a total score of 50%.
  • Classical Teacher – Sanskrit-degree Bachelors in/with Sanskrit as an optional/honors/elective/pass course from a recognized institute, with Siksha Shastri (Sanskrit) degree.

Category 2: Physical Education Teacher

Candidates must have obtained a B.P.Ed/M.P.Ed/C.P.Ed from a recognized board or university, as well as a B.P.Ed/M.P.Ed/C.P.Ed from a recognized board or university.

The selection process of OSSTET

The candidates have to go through some stages to get selected for the TET exam. The first stage is filling up the application form available on the website, and aspiring candidates get registered after paying the fees. This process is done online. The next stage is of getting the admit card; it is released by the authority before exams, and candidates are strictly required to carry it along on the day of examination. The third stage is giving the exam whose date is released with an official notification released; the candidates appear for exams conducted for recruitment of the teachers for Government/Government-aided schools of Odisha. And the last stage is of getting the result for which is determined with the cutoff.

Pattern for OSSTET

The exam is conducted with two categories, and each category has the following pattern:

  • The duration of the exams is 2.5 hours (150 minutes), with the total number of questions being 150 with marks each.
  • The exam mode is offline and has 4 sections Language-I (Odia), Language-II (English), Respective Subjects, Child Development, Pedagogy, and School Management.
  • The objective-type questions do not have any negative marking.

OSSTET Admit Card 2021

It is a mandatory document for all the candidates; they have to carry this along to enter the examination hall. Candidates can download the admit card from the official website that is BSE Odisha.nic.in. The below-given steps can be followed to download the admit card:

  • Go to the official website of BSEO.
  • Click on the link provided on the home page for downloading the admit card.
  • Fill in your credentials.
  • The admit card will appear.
  • Download and take out a hard copy of the same

OSSTET Result 2021

The exam’s online application procedure began on July 2, 2021, and the deadline to apply was July 13, 2021. This year the written exam was conducted on 01 September 2021. TET has been conducted at the state level, for which only residents of Odisha could apply. The result date will be announced soon.

OSSTET Cut Off Marks 2021

The cut-off marks for all the candidates are released online and can be checked by all the candidates. This cut-off list depicts that how many marks have to be obtained for selection in the post. This list is prepared unbiasedly by the organization.

OSSTET Merit List 2021

The merit list is released after the results. In the merit list, the candidates who will be recruited for this post are released; only the name appearing in the list will get the job.
