Parag Agarwal Twitter CEO: IIT-Bombay graduate Parag has replaced Jack Dorsey as the new CEO of Twitter. Following Dorsey’s resignation, the board of directors unanimously appointed head technical officer Agarwal as CEO.

Twitter CEO Parag Agarwal: Parag Agarwal has now become the new CEO of the world’s most popular microblogging platform Twitter. Parag of Indian origin will now head the company in California. Parag, a graduate from IIT-Bombay, has replaced Jack Dorsey as the new CEO of Twitter. Following Dorsey’s resignation, the board of directors unanimously appointed head technical officer Agarwal as CEO.

Parag Agarwal Personal Life: Parag is married to Vinita Agarwal, a physiologist by profession. According to her Twitter profile, Vinita is a physician and clinical professor at Stanford School of Medicine. Both live in San Francisco, California. The couple has a younger son named Ansh Agarwal.

Parag Agarwal Education and Career: Parag graduated from IIT-Bombay followed by PhD in Computer Science from Stanford University. He joined Twitter in October 2011 as an ad engineer and soon thereafter became the company’s distinguished software engineer. Twitter appointed Parag Agarwal as its Chief Technology Officer in 2017.

Parag Agarwal Twitter CEO: After joining Twitter as a software engineer, he has become the first CTO and now the CEO. In his earlier role, Agarwal served as Head of Technical Strategy and Supervision for Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) across the consumer, revenue and science teams for Twitter. He was also in charge of the BlueSky vision of Twitter.

Before joining Twitter, he also did research internships at AT&T, Microsoft and Yahoo. With his appointment as the company’s CEO, Parag has joined the pool of Indian-origin Silicon Valley CEOs. It includes names like Sundar Pichai and Satya Nadella.
